** JOB DESCRIPTION**##
** Key Responsibilities**##
** Quality Systems & Compliance*
* • Ensure compliance with BOS, ISO/TS 16949, IATF requirements, and customespecific standards.
• Understand plant and customer KPIs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet or exceed targets.
• Participate in Layered Process Audits (LPA) as required##
** Continuous Improvement*
* • Drive continuous improvement across all production quality deliverables
• Support advancement of Operation Description Sheets (ODS)
• Identify and apply appropriate statistical tools; mentor team members on their proper use.##
** Advanced Quality Planning & Documentation*
* • Support PPAP preparation and submission
• Obtain internal approvals prior to customer submission
• Develop and maintain:
* Control Plans
* PFMEA (with Manufacturing Engineering support)
* Inspection and containment plans
• Complete all customer-specific Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements.##
** Customer Interface & Issue Resolution*
* • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers regarding quality concerns
• Communicate effectively between customers and plant operations
• Visit customer sites as needed
• Initiate and manage Quality Alerts through closure
• Analyze returned materials and ensure root cause identification and corrective action implementation.##
** Problem Solving & Corrective Actions*
* • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes
• Prepare and submit 8D reports to customers in a timely manner
• Conduct capability studies and ensure compliance with customer and internal requirements##
** Supplier & Quality Documentation*
* • Ensure proper preparation and submission of required documentation, including:
* Part Submission Warrant (PSW)
* Design records (drawings, specifications, materials)
* Process flow diagrams
* PFMEA* Control plans
* Dimensional results and sample submissions##
** Systems & Tools*
* • Utilize customer-specific systems and reporting tools
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for quality processes## Qualifications## Education##
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience## Experience##
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering or related role
• At least 2 years of automotive industry experience required
• Seating experience is a strong plus## Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of:## * ## ISO/TS 16949 / IATF standards* ## PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans* ## 8D problem-solving methodology* ## Continuous improvement methodologies##
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage customer relationships## Certifications (Preferred)
• Lean Certification
• Problem-Solving Certification
• Kaizen Certification## Work Schedule
• 1st
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 P
