Ketten Wulf seeks a Technical Buyer to join the growing U.S. subsidiary of Ketten Wulf, based in Auburn, AL. This role is responsible for coordinating all processes and activities related to accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting for the U.S. subsidiary in close cooperation with the Finance Department at Ketten Wulf’s factory headquarters in Eslohe, Germany. The position is an in-person role.

• Support in the establishment of a new plant
• Development supplier network for manufacturing operation including suppliers for raw materials, semi-finished parts, consumables, services and capital assets
• Develop and follow process for Requests for Quotations (RFQ) to solicit multiple bids according to relevant criteria from engineering, operations, and production personnel
• Compare and evaluate suppliers’ quotes; seek negotiation opportunities
• Conduct regular forecasting of future demand for materials
• Generate and release purchase orders to vendors and track orders until goods delivery and invoicing
• Close collaboration with international locations
• Support supplier audits when required

• Bachelors’ degree mechanical engineering with additional business management knowledge or business studies with additional technical qualifications
• Technical Experience in the field of manufacturing technology and metals
• At least 3 years work experience as purchaser or similar position in the industrial environment
• Negotiating experience to identify and leverage cost savings opportunities
• Experience in working with SAP, proficient in MS Office
• Organizational talent as well as an analytical, structured and effective way of working
• German language skills
