Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient/family centered care in the ASC. Under the supervision of the ASC registered nurse, the support staff demonstrates knowledge, skills, and behaviors to maintain a consistent level of practice. Performs assigned delegated patient care tasks from the ASC registered nurse. Provides safe, therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care.

Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum. Utilizes standards, guidelines and protocols as pathways for delivery of care. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice outcomes. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development through teamwork, training and continuing education.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One-year experience in a health care setting
• Required Registration/License/Certification: BLS obtained within 90 days of DOH/Transfer.
