In the role of Director of Technical Operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring our technology infrastructure, systems, and support operations enable growth while delivering secure, reliable, and efficient services to members and employees. You will join a leadership team that values accountability, thoughtful decision‑making, and forward‑looking technology investments that strengthen the member experience.
Responsibilities- Lead the technical operations strategy and execution, overseeing project management, technical implementation, IT support, infrastructure management, vendor partnerships, and compliance.
- Drive operational excellence across core systems and support platforms, ensuring technology initiatives align with organizational growth objectives.
- Maintain infrastructure stability, system performance, and technical service delivery while implementing new technologies and enhancements.
- Optimize operational processes and foster strong collaboration between technology and business units.
- Manage vendor relationships and regulatory compliance, ensuring partners meet performance, security, and contractual standards.
- Provide visible leadership, operational discipline, and communication to support enterprise‑wide technology adoption.
- At least five years of relevant experience in technical operations, infrastructure management, or IT leadership, preferably within financial services or credit union environments.
- Experience managing projects, supporting enterprise systems, and leading technical teams responsible for service delivery and operational stability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Hands‑on familiarity with Jack Henry and Symitar platforms.
- Experience overseeing vendor relationships and understanding regulatory and compliance expectations within financial institutions.
- Experience supporting organizational growth initiatives, system implementations, or operational modernization efforts.
This position is based in Auburn, Alabama. Remote work is not available for this role.
