Thebproautosenior buyerwill lead and oversee projects aimed togrow and expedite the development of the brand, its product offerings and positioning in the automotive aftermarket. The candidate will be responsible for managing a cross functional and cross departmental team to ensure adherence to our business planin order tohit project timing and key milestones.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute sourcing strategies toidentifyandacquirehigh-quality automotive parts at competitive prices
- Ensure thetimelyand cost-effective procurement of product sand hitting key milestones
- Build andmaintainstrong relationships with key suppliers and vendor partners
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, orpricing
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to reduce procurement expenses without compromising quality. Analyze and report on procurement costs and savings
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to procurement and purchasing
- Deliver on our sourcing strategies including low cost sourcing and development of emerging markets
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new products. Make recommendations based on market insights
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, project management, engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience inpurchasingor related roles
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
- Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing projects frominceptionto completion
