A well-established, growth-focused community bank is seeking a Market President to lead overall market performance and branch operations. This executive role is responsible for driving profitability, market expansion, commercial lending growth, and team leadership within a defined region.
The Market President serves as the senior leader in the market, overseeing administrative, financial, operational, and sales performance while maintaining a strong community presence. This individual will champion business development initiatives, foster client relationships, and ensure an exceptional customer experience across all touchpoints.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarket & Financial Leadership
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and expense management across the market
- Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans
- Lead commercial lending growth while maintaining and servicing a loan portfolio
- Monitor financial performance, budgeting, and operational efficiency
Business Development & Community Engagement
- Establish strategies for new business acquisition, account retention, cross-selling, and referrals
- Represent the bank within the community to strengthen brand visibility and relationships
- Cultivate partnerships with business leaders, organizations, and local stakeholders
Team & Operational Management
- Provide strong leadership to branch staff, fostering a high-performance culture
- Set clear goals, coach team members, and drive accountability
- Lead change initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Ensure policies, procedures, and compliance standards are upheld
- A dynamic, relationship-driven leader who inspires teams and builds trust
- A strategic thinker with strong analytical and financial acumen
- Skilled in commercial lending and sales management
- An effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Results-oriented with a track record of producing measurable business outcomes
- Experienced in budgeting, financial oversight, and operational leadership
- Committed to fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional development
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5–10 years of progressive banking experience
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience
- Demonstrated success in commercial lending and portfolio management
