Forvia, a sustainable mobility technology leader

The PC&L Director is responsible for leading the regional Production Control & Logistics (PC&L) network and supporting manufacturing plants in the deployment and execution of Forvia logistics standards. This role drives supply chain efficiency, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement while ensuring high customer service levels and the development of PC&L talent across the region. The PC&L Director partners closely with Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Program teams to optimize inventory, logistics productivity, freight performance, and launch readiness for new programs.

mission, roles and responsibilities Regional PC&L Leadership
  • Provide functional leadership to Plant PC&L Managers across the region.
  • Directly manage the Division PC&L Sub‑Region Coordinator, PC&L Experts team, and New Program Supply Chain team.
  • Assess plant PC&L organizational strengths and gaps; define reinforcement and capability‑building plans.
  • Evaluate PC&L competencies across the network, including Plant PC&L Managers.
Customer Service & Program Launch Support
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive service management and strong customer relationships.
  • Anticipate customer requirements and manage PC&L aspects of new program launches.
  • Support and standardize PC&L processes across new and ongoing programs to enable synergies between plants.
Standards, Systems & Compliance
  • Ensure deployment and adherence to Forvia Core Procedures (FCP) and PC&L standards, including:
    • Forvia Excellence System (FES)
    • 7 Inventory Basics
    • 7 Delivery Basics
  • Ensure standards are respected across receiving, shipping, booking, inventory management, and office logistics.
  • Support accurate production planning (PIC & PDP), MRP execution, and LISA manifest usage where applicable.
Inventory & Planning Performance
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and performance at the regional level.
  • Drive corrective action plans with plants where deviations are identified.
  • Identify and implement inventory reduction opportunities while minimizing MPM impact.
Logistics Productivity & Cost Optimization
  • Lead productivity initiatives focused on shop‑floor logistics efficiency, including:
    • Flow optimization
    • Automation and AGV implementation
  • Manage regional freight productivity plans in collaboration with Operations and Purchasing:
    • Truck fill optimization
    • Flow consolidation
    • Route optimization
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Purchasing on packaging optimization and logistics cost‑reduction initiatives.
  • Contribute to PC&L budget proposals and track performance against budget.
  • Identify, implement, and standardize best practices across plants.
  • Capitalize and share know‑how, lessons learned, and proven solutions across the region.
  • Organize and lead workshops to:
    • Deploy new PC&L standards, processes, and routines
    • Address systemic or common regional issues
    • Align plants on division and group‑level initiatives
Your profile and competencies to succeed Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain
  • Proven experience in Production Control, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Industrial Operations leadership.
  • Experience managing regional or multi‑plant PC&L organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, production planning, logistics flows, and freight optimization.
  • Experience supporting new program launches in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence without direct authority.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience implementing standardization and productivity initiatives.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
