Senior Showroom Manager - Rockville, MD
Job Details

  • Reports to the Senior Branch Manager
  • 10,000 sq ft showroom
  • Direct oversight of 11 associates
Responsibilities
  • Actively lead day‑to‑day showroom operations, coordinating with the Senior Branch Manager and Operations Manager to focus on showroom displays, the clearance center, revenue growth, margin enhancement, budget targets, and process improvement.
  • Maintain and develop the team, including hiring, mentoring, training, scheduling, setting goals, and ensuring clear expectations and development plans.
  • Supervise daily showroom traffic and engage a wide range of customers to sell lighting, appliances, high‑end fixtures, and related products.
  • Handle budget processes, review expenses, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Assist customers both by appointment and walk‑ins.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and act as the first point of contact to address and resolve customer complaints.
  • Represent Ferguson at industry events and local meetings.
Qualifications
  • 5 years of prior sales leadership experience, preferably with sales and customer service background.
  • Proven track record in building and implementing process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Ability to initiate and embrace change, with strong mentoring skills and a desire to train others.
  • Capability to work across department lines, manage time, and lead people effectively.
  • Outstanding communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal.
  • Strong listening skills to address problems, anticipate issues, and make effective decisions.
  • Experience in plumbing fixtures, lighting, and/or appliance retail sales.
  • Ability to serve a diverse customer base with varying levels of product knowledge.

Pay Range

$5,951.70 - $12,966.80

Estimated ranges displayed are monthly for salaried roles or hourly for all other roles.

This role is eligible for a bonus or incentive plan.

Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
