Job Overview
The CNC Machinist position contributes to the production of medical devices by operating multi‑axis CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and plunge machines. The Machinist, CNC reports directly to the area Supervisor.
Responsibilities- Operate and program multiple CNC machines simultaneously.
- Identify X, Y, Z, and 0 coordinates for machining operations.
- Monitor machines to ensure proper program performance.
- Complete shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
- Make offsets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
- Advocate for health and safety of self, co‑workers, customers, and the community.
- Support quality and compliance by following all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Complete all required training.
- Education: High School or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience: 1+ years operating machining equipment in a manufacturing environment (required); operating CNC mills or lathes independently (required); experience with measuring tools (e.g., calipers, height gage, indicator) (required); reading basic blueprints (required). Lean manufacturing and medical device manufacturing experience are preferred.

Skills:- Problem solving, machine set‑up, visual quality assurance, GD&T, blueprint reading.
- Information processing, metrology tools, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic handwriting, data entry, mathematical ability.
- Remain in a stationary position frequently.
- Move around the building; sometimes move equipment; sometimes position oneself under/around/over equipment.
- Perform tasks requiring repetitive handling, adjusting, inspecting, and positioning items and equipment.
- Communicate and exchange information with others.
- Distinguish and detect information such as writing and defects.
- Regular noise exposure.
