Production Mechanic

Primary Objective:
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all plant equipment including lubricating, cleaning, adjusting, and replacing defective parts.

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, metal working tools, ladders, buffers, gauges, and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to work with machine parts, manuals, lubricants, and chemicals.
• Ability to read and write standard English.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Follow all safety procedures in the safe servicing of plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all plant equipment including lubricating, cleaning, adjusting, and replacing defective parts.
• Perform cutting and welding as needed during shift for all departments, following proper hot work procedures.
• Perform weekly preventive maintenance (PM’s).
• Perform any miscellaneous duties as required by supervision.
• Work as part of a team with limited supervision.
• Stand, walk, bend, and stoop for long periods of time.
• Work in temperatures above 90°F and with equipment that may exceed 500°F.
• Perform heavy lifting up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
• Work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, water, humidity and temperature variations.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and in precarious places during duties.
