Assistant process operator

Key Accountabilities

• Execute manufacturing process by operating designated production equipment.
• Select intermediates or raw materials, move and load them into production machines.
• Understand bill of materials and/or formula specifications to add proper quantities of materials in the proper sequence.
• Manufacture product safely, timely and according to predefined process instructions to meet quality standards.
• Accurately read control instruments and prepare neat and accurate records for all operations.
• Complete all quality test requirements to verify final product quality.
• Ensure efficient, uninterrupted production and identify and facilitate process improvements.
• Monitor equipment and report production information in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
• Keep records for production, raw material deliveries, quality samples and equipment and process performance.
• Prepare product packaging for the next step or final shipment per department specifications.
• Ensure proper operation, maintenance and cleanliness of various laboratory instruments.
• Work in accordance with all relevant requirements and internal safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Responsible for housekeeping in the plant, maintaining a clean, safe and clutter‑free work environment.
• Know the significant QSHE aspects/impacts associated with work, including relevant legal or other requirements and emergency preparedness and response.
• Understand and use the Corporate Sustainability Policy and the Integrated Management System (IMS) as guidance to continuously improve QSHE aspects.

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.

• 5 years of industrial or manufacturing experience in a chemical or related field.
• Experience in a maintenance role for a manufacturing or related operation.

• Computer skills and laboratory experience are preferred.
• Basic chemistry knowledge preferred.
• Ability to communicate efficiently verbally and in writing with coworkers, supervisors and customers.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime and weekends, including operating the facility alone on nights and weekends.
• Ability to work inside and occasionally outside, exposed to heat, cold, dirt and noise.
