Position Summary and Responsibilities
The Manufacturing Inventory Control Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring the availability of materials for production, and optimizing inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize efficiency. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Inventory Management- Accurately track and review all incoming and outgoing materials, components, and finished goods in the ERP system.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively identify potential shortages or overstock situations.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure efficient material flow.
- Collaborate with warehouse manager to ensure proper storage and organization of inventory items.
- Ensure timely availability of materials for production by coordinating with procurement and production teams.
- Process material requisitions and transfers accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor and report on material usage and variances.
- Support production planning by providing accurate inventory data.
- Generate inventory reports and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inventory transactions and procedures.
- Assist in developing and implementing inventory control metrics and KPIs.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, quality control, and other departments to ensure smooth material flow and inventory accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory status and issues.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies and issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must be able to speak English fluently.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Must be able to make change quickly.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some related experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
