Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician

Shift: 4A (Monday‑Thursday)

Huntsville, AL (Primary)

Job Purpose:

Responsible for the maintenance and operation of surface mount, wave soldering, selective wave soldering, and other manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include set‑up, repair, operation, preventative maintenance, and adjustment of Fuji and ASM SMT equipment as well as Wave and Selective Soldering Equipment. Monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards. Is responsible for quality assurance, uptime, and completing documentation for equipment and area.

Works with little instruction and takes constructive criticism. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Experience with tooling development and manual machinist work is a plus. Must be a team player and be willing to work overtime when needed. U.S. citizenship is required due to Department of Defense contract requirements.

• Has knowledge of commonly‑used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Strong working knowledge of Siemens and Fuji SMT machines, Wave and Selective Soldering equipment or other related experience.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs.
• Has good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic problems.
• Required to be self‑sufficient and resolve issues without assistance.
• Ability to interface professionally and effectively with peers, operators, and managers.
• Must be a team player.

• 2‑year technical degree preferred but not required.
• 1–2 years technician experience.
