Job Summary
The Assembly/Production Line Operator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks on a automotive production line within a Tier 1 manufacturing environment. This role involves assembling components, operating machinery, and ensuring that products meet strict quality and safety standards required by automotive customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced, team-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble automotive parts and components according to standardized work instructions and engineering specifications.
- Operate and monitor production line equipment, tools, and machinery safely and effectively
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet company and customer standards
- Identify and report defects, malfunctions, or process deviations promptly
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with lean manufacturing principles.
- Follow all safety procedures, policies, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
- Meet or exceed daily production targets and efficiency metric s
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to resolve issues and improve processes
- Organize inventory
- Participate in training programs to stay up-to-date with the latest equipment and safety procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of manufacturing experience preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures and OSHA regulations
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
- Manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
- Requires standing, walking, and lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Requires overtime (47.5 hours/wk)
- Full Time, M-F 7-5:00
