Job SummaryManufacture customized products that meet customer specifications and install equipment. Full time, hourly position, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. Immediate start.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities- TIG and MIG welding experience of 2 or more years.
- Lays out, positions and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and tape measure, etc.
- Tack welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.
- Examines specifications of the customer's order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
- Fabricates work piece as determined by work order specifications. Retrieves correct materials and performs various fabrication duties.
- Examines work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot welds and welding equipment
- Self-Motivated with the ability to work within a team environment or independently as required
- Ability to use precision hand tools, standard mechanical tools, and fabrication shop equipment
- Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work overtime as required
- Follows company safety policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of or older
- Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) of welding capabilities
- Understand, read and write communications
- Must be a U.S. or , U.S. permanent (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- HS Diploma or GED .
- 5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
- Experience with fabrication shop equipment.
- Metal working experience .
- Orbital Welding experience
- Plasma and/or oxyacetylene cutting experience
