Industrial Modeler

This opening is an assignment within the Design Office Fabrication Shop located at the Stellantis Headquarters located in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Itinvolvesinterfacingwithmultipledisciplines,i.e.,engineers, designers,and cross-function team members while participating in allfabricationrelatedactivities and assignments.

Such activities include but are not limited to developing interior and exterior bucks/armatures according to electronic CAD data,on a surface platewith a fullunderstandingof thex, y and zgrid system.

The ability toexecutestructural carpentry,prepping and surfacing hard models and parts(new, aftermarket and prototype) for show quality paints and other finishes.

Adapting newandaftermarket parts to existing / prototype vehicles. An understanding of auto mechanics.

A fullskill setfortheapplication of paints and other show finishes.

• HS Diploma/GED
• 5+ years of experience using shop/mill room stationary machinery such as aTable saw, Joiner, Planer, Drill Press Bridgeport,Press Brake, Shear, Lathe
• Prior welding experience (steel and aluminum)
• Ability to work with hand tools such as aDrill motor, Jig Saw, Reciprocating Saw, Circular Saw, Die Grinder, Orbital Sander
• Strong skills in automotive surfacing and paint application
• Ability to work both individually andas a team member in a creative and diverse environment
• Participate in additional training and process improvements
• Willingness to be mentored and mentor others
• Participate in scheduled overtime
• A positive attitude that is notaverseto change in afar paced environment
• High level ofunderstandingwith regards toworkingfrom printsand/or CADmodels
• Ability to work with precision while maintaining the highest level of craftsmanship
