Job Description Overview
The Campus Food Pantry Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting students by ensuring consistent, dignified access tofood resources. This position leads daily pantry operations,supervises student workers and volunteers, and fosters partnerships that strengthen food security across campus and in the community.
About the Campus Food Pantry:The Campus Food Pantryprovides free food and toiletry items to Auburn University students experiencing food insecurity. Any currently enrolled studentexperiencing food insecurity can use the Campus Food Pantry. If youare passionate about service, organization, and leading a team tomake meaningful change, this role offers the opportunity to seeyour impact every single day!
Responsibilities- Staff the Campus Food Pantry during open hours, assist users,address customer issues, enforce pantry guidelines.
- Supervise and lead student workers and volunteers. Effectivelyaddress performance and personnel issues to ensure effective and efficient pantry operations.
- Create bulk grocery orders within budget guidelines, inventory all deliveries, and ensure financial accounting of all orders.
- Utilize Pantry Soft Software to check out users, input newusers, track inventory, communicate with users, and track donationsand food drives.
- Maintain order and cleanliness of the Campus Food Pantry.
- Responsible for checking and responding to all phone and emailvolunteer requests. Provide written confirmation of volunteerhours, as needed.
- Schedule and coordinate monthly visits from SNAPrepresentative. Collaborate with community and campus partners to coordinate food drives and volunteer requests.
