- POSITION SUMMARY
- Plans, organizes, manages, and evaluates the care of patients in the perioperative setting. Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, quality patient and family centered care. Facilitates patient flow and ensures the provision of high quality patient care. Integrates knowledge, skill and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care to include necessary preoperative and postoperative education.
Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols and pathways for care delivery. Incorportates quality data and information into daily processes to continuously enhance outcomes. Works with administration to carry out the mission statement and vision of the facility in all aspects of services and reports directly to the Perioperative Supervisor. Provides a continuous focus on customer service throughout the organization. Works to maintain effective team communication committed to organizational goals.
Uses productive feedback to advocate for each patient. Maintains positive employee relations and maximum productivity by fostering open communication and assisting peers during downtime. Engages in activities that promote ongoing personal and professional growth.

- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent
- Minimum Experience
- 2 years of Perioperative experience
- Required Registration/License/Certification
- ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire BLS obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer Registered Nursing License
- Preferred Education
- N/A
- Preferred Experience
- Perioperative experience to include a multispecialty case mix of patients served. Endoscopy, Orthopaedic, ENT, Opthalmology, General, Urology, and Plastic Surgery experience preferred.
- Preferred Registration/License/Certification
- ACLS/PALS
- Other Requirements
- 3-5 years medical-surgical nursing experience
- Minimum Education
