This is supervisory work in directing a moderately complex public health nursing program or in practicing in-depth nursing in an area of specialty.
Jurisdiction Yearly SalaryMobile County Health Department $53,085 - $84,865
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSCompletion of an accredited nursing program leading to certification as a Registered Nurse and a minimum of one year experience at the level of Public Health Nurse II; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTSPossession of a license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Alabama; must be willing to furnish own automobile and possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence.

Eligibles selected for appointment must meet the established medical and physical standards for the class of work. The medical examination must be by one of the physicians designated by the Personnel Board. Appointees must bear the cost of the examination.
