Job Overview
Chemical company located in Theodore, AL is currently looking for an experienced full‑time QA/QC Field Technician.
Key Requirements- Pass background check, drug screen, and physical exam.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Certified CWI.
- Work schedule:
Monday – Thursday, 6:30 am – 5:00 pm (overtime may be required). - Pay: $32.14 – $36.50 per hour, depending on experience.
QC inspector needed with 3–5 years of experience in weld inspection, flange torquing, and package walkdowns. Must hold ASNT‑TC‑1A VT & PT certification.
ResponsibilitiesInspections include welds, rupture discs, relief valves, and bolt tightness. Perform discipline‑specific inspections, examinations, and tests in accordance with documented procedures and industry practices.
- Operate and maintain inspection tools and equipment.
- Determine calibration status of measuring and test equipment (M&TE).
- Plan inspections, prepare and set up related equipment.
- Supervise inspections and report results.
- Evaluate validity and acceptability of inspection, examination, and test results.
- Lead development of inspection test procedures and reports.
- Review engineering drawings and specifications for inspection provisions.
- Understand cross‑disciplinary activities.
