Industrial Customer Service Specialist

Fluid Engineering is an industrial equipment distributor and system integrator located in the Southeast. Our customers run paper mills, chemical plants, steel mills, and other industrial manufacturing facilities. They count on us to get them the right pumps, fans, dust collection, and related equipment and parts. You’ll play a critical role in delighting our customers by handling quote requests, processing orders, and overall helping solve their problems.

• Field calls and emails, respond quickly, and build quality relationships with new and existing customers
• Prepare and review quotes and process orders
• Promptly resolve delivery, invoicing, quality, and other customer issues
• Coordinate supply chain/logistics efforts, such as expediting order shipments
• Track orders and keep customers informed on their order status
• Prioritize multiple ongoing tasks at a time
• Coordinate closely with our outside sales engineers to support growth in their territories

• A warm, responsive communicator who’s comfortable on the phone and with
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness when preparing quotes and processing orders
• A resourceful, self-starter who can solve problems independently
• Good memory and recall
• Someone who takes ownership and responsibility for their work
• Bonus points:
  
  supply chain/distribution experience, and familiarity with ERP or order entry systems

This is an in-person role, reporting to our office in Mobile, AL.
