Wildland Services, LLC is an environmental consulting firm specializing in Section 404 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permits, wetland delineations, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits, and monitoring services. Operating across Alabama, Georgia, and Florida, the company has successfully secured Section 404 Individual and Nationwide Permits in Alabama and Georgia. Wildland Services, LLC also develops and implements stream restoration and mitigation plans to address environmental impacts on project sites.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Wetland/Natural Resource Scientist located in Auburn, AL. The Wetland/Natural Resource Scientist will conduct wetland delineations, prepare environmental reports, and contribute to the development of Section 404 and NPDES permits. Responsibilities also include supporting stream restoration and mitigation plans, conducting field research, analyzing ecological impacts, and collaborating with team members to manage environmental consulting projects effectively.
Qualifications- Strong knowledge of wetlands, wildlife, and related ecosystems
- Excellent communication skills for report writing, stakeholder engagement, and team collaboration
- Experience in environmental education and research capabilities
- Proficiency in project management, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating environmental projects
- Familiarity with Section 404 and NPDES permitting processes and environmental regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or a related field
- Ability to work outdoors in various conditions and travel as needed
- GIS and GPS proficiency is a plus
