Mobile Field Service Technician - South Alabama

Mobile Field Service Technician – South Alabama (Remote). Join Terex to work with heavy machinery and equipment, applying skills in welding, electrical, hydraulics, diesel, and mechanical repairs.

• Strictly follow all safety protocols and company guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Repair and replace critical components of refuse collection vehicles, heavy machinery, and utility equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Perform regular maintenance and inspections according to established schedules to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
• Install, configure, and test new equipment and systems at customer sites, ensuring proper operation and customer satisfaction.
• Travel to customer locations throughout Southern Alabama as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, and parts used for documentation and compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and enhance service quality.

• Minimum 3 years of experience working with heavy machinery and/or utility equipment in a field service role.
• Demonstrated mechanical and welding skills using hand and power tools.
• Ability to pass an MVR, obtain and maintain a DOT qualification, and submit to background checks and drug screening.
• More than 5 years in a similar field service position.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency in measuring devices and basic welding, cutting, and layout operations for equipment repairs.

• Willing to work varied hours and be on the road up to 3‑4 nights per week.
• Comfortable working in tight spaces and at heights, climbing ladders, accessing vehicles from various positions, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 40lbs.
• Perform duties in diverse weather conditions.

Hourly rate: $30–$38, based on education, experience, and certifications.
