Maintenance Technician
The Couplings Division of the Industrial Powertrain Solutions Segment is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Auburn, AL.
The ideal candidate repairs and maintains machinery and production equipment, installs functional and structural parts within the facility. Installs, removes and performs preventative maintenance on production equipment and machinery. The employee troubleshoots, tests, lubricates, and cleans as required. The employee operates a wide variety of power, pneumatic and hand tools as well precision measuring devices and test equipment. The employee is trained cross functional in both mechanical and electrical trades.
Key Responsibilities:- Responsible for maintaining production machinery throughout the facility
- Responsible for all facility (structural) maintenance and repairs
- Responsible for executing and closing work orders in a timely manner
- Accurate record keeping – equipment history, PM schedules, down time logs
- Any reports as required by management
- Comply with any and all safety procedures ie: lock out / tag out, fall prevention, lift equipment safety and confined space entry.
- Housekeeping duties as required
- Work in a constant state of alertness
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Work cooperative with co-workers
- Post high school with emphasis on industrial trades, mechanical and electrical
- 3 years as industrial mechanical / electrical maintenance
- Lift equipment and analytical test equipment experience
- Precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, tape measures
- Computers – CNC and PLC
- High school math and communication skills
Qualifications:
- Industrial electrical and mechanical skills
- Wide variety of hand, power and pneumatic tools
- Ability to read and interpret PNID drawings

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud when in the manufacturing factory and at vendor locations. The general office environment is a quieter one spent at a computer in the office.
