Senior Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment and assets
• Use commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders and document repair activities
• Support stores and store associates
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete required training to operate equipment and tools safely
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, Walmart refrigeration/HVAC safety policy, and environmental guidelines
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work frequently at heights

• At least 10 years of experience in commercial refrigeration/HVAC maintenance, or 8 years of HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience plus an AAS in air conditioning and refrigeration
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience
• Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent, unless qualifying under the stated AAS alternative
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report
• Ability to use hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and related equipment
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work frequently at heights
• Completion of required safety training
• Preferred: completion of a 2-year technical/vocational HVAC/R program or 2-year associate degree in applied science, air conditioning and refrigeration
• Preferred: excellent driving record
• Preferred: prior experience with glycol and CO2 systems

Demonstrates extensive experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC maintenance, with a strong focus on compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. Proficient in using hand tools, digital tools, and power tools to effectively maintain and repair refrigeration and HVAC systems.
