Position: Teacher, Visually Impaired Program - Beginning 2026/2027 School Year

General Purpose

Part‑time. The Teacher, Visually Impaired Program reports to the County Superintendent and works under the direct supervision of the designated manager(s). This teacher provides instruction to promote progress in all areas of educational development for individuals with vision‑related disabilities.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Must possess an appropriate California teaching credential authorizing specialized services to students with visual impairment.
  • Must possess authorization to teach English Language Learners.
  • Required level of education to obtain the appropriate authorization from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) for the position.

If hired, the teacher must provide proof of a valid California Driver’s License.

  • Copy of Transcript (bachelors degree or higher)
  • Credential Copy (CA Teaching credential authorizing specialized services to students with visual impairment)
  • English Learner Authorization (Authorization to teach English Language Learners)
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two Letters of Recommendation are required‑each letter must be signed)
  • Resume
