Responsibilities will prioritize structural steel engineering tasks: sizing structural steel members, designing connections, building modeling and drafting with Revit, reviewing shop drawings and erection/crane plans, creating/updating engineering spreadsheets, creating calculation packages and drawing sets, etc. Occasional visits to job sites or fabrication shop to assess problems and determine solutions.
Applicant should be open to learning structural steel cost estimating, which will help to design more cost efficiently. Cost estimating will fill time as needed between engineering tasks.
Applicant should be familiar with Microsoft Excel. Revit and Bluebeam will be often used as well.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's (Master's is a plus) in Structural Engineering
- Required qualifications include a 4 to 10 years work experience.
- PE or SE license
- Applicant should be familiar with applicable building codes (IBC, ASCE7, AISC, etc.)
