The Laboratory Technician supports engineering and manufacturing teams by conducting testing and troubleshooting of vacuum pump products, analyzing test data, and maintaining laboratory equipment. This role ensures testing is performed in accordance with quality standards and requirements, helping to support product performance, development, and manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:- Conduct, document, and report laboratory tests in accordance with established testing procedures and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to determine testing methods and troubleshoot product and process issues.
- Analyze test data and prepare clear, concise technical reports.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure reliable test results.
- Support troubleshooting and testing activities in both laboratory and manufacturing environments.
- Maintain accurate records of testing activities, results, and equipment maintenance.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of laboratory procedures and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a laboratory, testing, or technical environment, preferably within manufacturing or engineering.
- Experience with laboratory testing, equipment calibration, and maintenance.
- Strong technical, mechanical, and mathematical aptitude.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze data and prepare technical documentation and reports.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Technical competence in Fluid Power systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electromechanical systems.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Collaboration and teamwork.
- Continuous learning and adaptability.
- Strong technical and mechanical comprehension
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Experience supporting testing and troubleshooting activities in both laboratory and manufacturing environments.
- Experience working with vacuum pump products or related industrial equipment.
- Willingness to Travel:
Availability to travel up to 10% of the time (e.g. training at our technical centers)
