Position Summary
At Myles Truck Repair, with our trusted partner True North Fleet Services, we are looking for an experienced Heavy-Duty Wrecker Dispatcher to help coordinate our towing and roadside operations.
This position serves as the communication hub between customers, wrecker operators, technicians, and leadership. The Dispatcher is responsible for understanding the customer's situation, deploying the right resources, maintaining communication, and helping ensure every call is handled safely, professionally, and efficiently.
The right person thrives in a fast-moving environment, stays composed when priorities change, and takes ownership from the initial call through completion.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and coordinate heavy-duty towing, recovery, and roadside service calls.
- Gather accurate information regarding vehicle location, equipment needs, customer concerns, and service requirements.
- Dispatch the appropriate driver and equipment based on location, urgency, capability, and availability.
- Maintain clear communication with customers and drivers throughout each service call.
- Monitor active calls and adjust resources as priorities and conditions change.
- Coordinate with shop operations when vehicles require additional repair or service.
- Maintain accurate dispatch, customer, and service documentation.
- Help maximize driver productivity, equipment utilization, and response times.
- Escalate customer, safety, or operational concerns when necessary.
- Support a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.
- Experience in heavy-duty towing, roadside assistance, trucking, fleet operations, transportation, logistics, or dispatch preferred.
- Understanding of commercial trucks, trailers, towing equipment, or roadside operations is highly valued.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple active service calls in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, especially when situations change quickly.
- Comfortable communicating with drivers, technicians, customers, and leadership.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Comfortable using dispatch, GPS, service management, and Microsoft Office systems.
