Warehouse Lead II

Xpedient Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Lead II to oversee day-to-day operations in our fast-paced Houston facility. This role coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, ensures accurate inventory control, and assigns tasks to warehouse associates. The Warehouse Lead II monitors productivity, enforces safety standards, and resolves issues to meet client deadlines. You will operate warehouse systems and material handling equipment, support continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with transportation and customer service teams to maintain on-time, high-quality service for diverse customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, put-away, and order fulfillment.
• Assign, guide, and support warehouse associates to meet productivity and accuracy goals.
• Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, audits, and system updates.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and equipment inspections.
• Coordinate with transportation and customer service teams to meet client deadlines.
• Operate warehouse management systems and scanning tools for tracking and reporting.
• Assist with load planning, staging, and quality checks on shipments.
• Support training of new team members and cross-training within the warehouse.
• Identify and communicate process issues, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Report performance, safety, and inventory issues to warehouse management.
