Job Description

The Prototype Technician Intern assists in building, assembling, and testing prototypes used in engineering development. This role provides hands‑on experience with tools, fabrication methods, and early‑stage product validation.

Responsibilities
  • Support the assembly and build of mechanical or electrical prototypes.
  • Prepare materials, parts, and components for prototype construction.
  • Assist with basic machining, fabrication, soldering, wiring, or 3D printing (depending on discipline).
  • Conduct functional and durability tests under engineer supervision.
  • Document results, measurements, and observations.
  • Maintain prototype lab tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians during prototype reviews.
Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a technical university program (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar).
  • Hands‑on experience with tools, workshop equipment, or lab instruments (school‑level acceptable).
  • Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical components.
  • High attention to detail and strong manual skills.
  • Good teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work in a laboratory and workshop environment.
