Job Description
- Responsible for movement of materials including the receiving of carbon black/oil trucks.
- Will be required to complete training.
- Read and follow standards for unloading trucks.
- Ability to read, understand, and maintain quality standards.
- Provide coverage for other Mill Operator, Strainer Operator, or Stockpiler while operators are on break.
- Ability to operate and fill gas on forklift trucks.
- Ensure all materials are labeled/coded properly.
- Maintain housekeeping around 1st floor as outlined in SOPs.
- May be required to change shifts or work overtime.
- May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.
- Report to the assigned Supervisor.
- Indirectly responsible for results in assigned area, not a direct people leader.
- Must wear steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and earplugs when in manufacturing area.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment and be exposed to low levels of carbon black dust, which may be dirty.
- Be aware of all safety regulations and the visibility of forklifts on the work floor.
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis.
