JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and general maintenance of all plant equipment to maximize quality production in a safe and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS ANDKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to machinery service requests in a timely manner.
- Conduct preventative maintenance per the appropriate schedule.
- Read blueprints and build simple parts to specifications.
- Fix, repair, and troubleshoot basic electrical problems.
- Perform welding tasks as needed.
- Adhere to 5S procedures as outlined.
- Participate as representative in meetings and committees.
- Work as a team member with others in groups to reach the most effective approach to solving problems.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent like a GED).
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, equipment repair manuals, motor control circuit diagrams, and be able to make assemblies from instruction sheets.
- Ability to accurately measure within 1/1000 inch using rules, micrometers, and calipers. Work in and convert to and from metric measurements.
- Mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers with fractions and metrics.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools to set up and adjust equipment.
- Good understanding of basic electricity.
- Ability to install 110‑volt lighting.
- Connect 208‑volt, 240‑volt (single phase & 3‑phase) and 480‑volt 3‑phase equipment to power circuits correctly.
- Understand electrical drawings and use them to identify problems with components, troubleshoot, and correct issues.
- Clean, climate‑controlled environment.
- No travel.
- Day shift Monday‑Friday 8 am‑4 pm.
- Must be able to stand and walk efficiently for the entire shift.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Welding equipment when welding.
- Goggles when running band saws.
- Rubber Neoprene gloves when working with cleaning solvents.
- Union shop.
