Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Operation and set-up of machining centers and lathes
  • Ability to change and maintain tooling
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operation sheets
  • Ability to read and understand gauges and other measuring devices
  • Basic knowledge of 6S safety and ISO organizational standards
  • Ability to accurately perform mathematical computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, also basic knowledge of percentages and decimals as related to manufacturing
  • Able to meet specific deadlines
  • Interface with all departments and levels of management

    Qualifications:
    • 1-3 years' experience in operation and set-up of machining centers and lathes
    • 1-3 years' experience in tooling changeovers, building up tools and touching off tooling
    • Experience in setting up Gear Shapers is highly valued!
    • 1-3 years' experience using gauges such as micrometers and calipers
    • Experience with bar code scanning regarding product movement, preferred
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    Computer

    Skills:
    • To perform this job successfully the following computer proficiencies are desired:
      Internet Explorer;
      Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
