First Shift Bedding Production Associate
Location:
Auburn, IN Shift: Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Regular Saturday overtime available Pay: $16.00 per hour Join a leading foam manufacturing company and become part of a team that produces high quality bedding products used across the country. We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who take pride in producing quality work in a clean, fast paced manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities As a Bedding Production Associate, you will work in both the assembly and packaging departments to help build and prepare finished bedding products for shipment. Assembly Duties Assemble bedding components using gluing applications Build bed structures according to daily production schedules Identify and work with various foam types Create and print production tags using SAP Inspect products for quality and measure dimensions for accuracy Meet daily production and quality goals Packaging Duties Read and follow customer packaging specifications Inspect and measure finished products before packaging Operate lift tables after training Set up and operate a convoluter as needed Create and issue SAP tags Poly wrap, label, and stage finished products for shipment
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not required Basic math skills to count and verify foam components Ability to read and follow written, verbal, and diagram instructions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, rulers, calipers, and other inspection equipment Good problem solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements Frequently lift 50 to 80 pounds, including foam, packaging materials, and pallets Push and pull materials weighing up to 80 pounds Stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift Work Environment Indoor manufacturing facility Moderate noise level Clean production environment Safety glasses and other required personal protective equipment are provided Training is provided on all safety procedures, including lockout tagout, hazard communication, and safe work practices
