AP Assistant Accountant

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented AP Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing accounts payable processes, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your energetic approach and strong technical accounting skills will contribute to the smooth operation of our financial functions, fostering accuracy and efficiency across all accounting activities.

• Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and subsidiary ledgers
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and financial statement preparation
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and streamline payment processes
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including debits & credits, account analysis, and ledger entries

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), accrual accounting, and double entry bookkeeping
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform bank reconciliations and account analysis accurately
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and general ledger reconciliation
