What if your next accounting role didn't just your next job...but your path to becoming a CFO?
One of our clients, an established and growing global technology manufacturer in Southern Maine, is seeking a senior-level Accountant with the ambition, leadership potential, and business acumen to step into a Chief Financial Officer role within the next 3 to 5 years.
This is not a typical senior-level Accountant position.
You'll work directly alongside the CFO in a highly visible role, gaining exposure to financial planning, strategic decision-making, global reporting, and operational finance, while supporting a close-knit finance team today.
Why this opportunity stands out:- Clear succession plan into executive finance leadership
- Direct mentorship from the current CFO
- Global organization with customers in more than 60 countries
- Highly automated accounting environment with a focus on continuous improvement
- Opportunity to influence processes, systems, and future growth
- Stable, established company with more than two decades of innovation
- Collaborative culture that values work-life balance, community, and long-term careers
We're searching for someone who enjoys both the strategic and the practical sides of accounting.
You'll oversee month-end close activities, reconciliations, revenue accounting, financial reporting, budgeting support, and FP&A while also being willing to jump in wherever needed, including occasional operational accounting responsibilities. Because this is a small finance team, flexibility and teamwork are essential.
The operational work is expected to decrease over time as this individual grows into broader financial leadership responsibilities.

- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems (Net Suite preferred)
