Job Description
The PMA/Client Login Specialist supports the lab in servicing clients to meet the laboratory mission. This full‑time position is Monday‑Friday 7:30 am–4:00 pm with occasional Saturday mornings and overtime as needed.
Must live within commuting distance to Auburn, Maine and have a background in Environmental science or the Sciences. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a customer‑service position.
Compensation is $20–22 /hour (DOE).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Project Management Assistant- Project setup
- Schedules courier or field sampler, if needed
- Confirms non‑Eurofins Environment Testing America subcontract labs are on the approved list and set up as vendors for existing work
- Generates accounting software requisition when sending subcontract samples
- Sample receipt
- Reviews log‑in
- Generates subcontract paperwork
- Sends client sample receipt confirmation
- Reviews draft invoice
- Confirms that any client‑needed information (purchase order, project number, etc.) is recorded in LIMS for invoicing
- Reporting
- Creates and issues final report by client due date
- Issues final data package
- State reporting forms and submission
- Data upload
- Compiles case narrative
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Collect samples from on‑site drop box
- Unpack shipments and document receipt of sample
- Organize and record samples
- Data entry into LIMS
- Maintenance of the department and lab, including stocking supplies and housekeeping
- Phone and email correspondence with clients
- Review analytical reports quickly and accurately
- Scan and send out reports in a timely manner
- Assist with customer services
- Handle interactions with walk‑in clients
- Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree (2 years client‑relationship/client service experience may substitute for degree)
- High school chemistry coursework, basic laboratory experience
- Environmental laboratory experience
- 1–3 years business experience required
- Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship
- May need to lift up to 50 lbs coolers of samples on occasion
- Customer service/client relations experience preferred
- Bench chemist experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective problem‑solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer skills, using routine software applications such as Outlook, Office, Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point
- Perform other duties as assigned
