Ogunquit Playhouse, Ogunquit, Maine seeks last-minute Dresser Sub for 2026 Mainstage Production of The Producers.

Seeking candidates that are from Tri-State Area or New England.

SCHEDULE:

Show call is typically 1.5 hrs. before performance times listed below.

Coverage:
Sat. 9/5 (2pm + 8pm) + Sun. 9/6 (2pm)

Training:
Thurs. 9/3 (2pm + 8pm) + Fri. 9/4 (8pm)

RATE: W2, $19/hr (+ O/T over 40 hrs.)

Shared housing and travel stipend may be offered for those who are not local.

Ideal Candidate:
Must be detail-oriented and remain focused in a fast-paced working environment. Wardrobe Crew experience required; basic sewing/stitching skills are required. Reports to Wardrobe Supervisor and Assistant Wardrobe Supervisor.

Job Duties/Expectations include (but are not limited to):

• Minor costume repairs.
• Reinforce buttons, quick rig garments, repair rips/tears, repair hems, label garments.
• Ensure proper cleaning, organization and delivery of costume pieces.
• Assist with backstage quick changes.
• Possess flexibility and positive backstage demeanor working with actors and other crew.
• Foster and maintain a positive and productive work environment backstage, in dressing rooms, and in wardrobe rooms.
• Ensure that the wardrobe rooms, backstage areas, and dressing rooms are kept in a clean and tidy manner.
• Job requires ability to sit/stand for long periods of time, and bend, stoop, or kneel while assisting actors, staff, and designer in execution of duties as assigned
• Job requires ability to lift, carry, move costumes and necessary equipment up and down stairs in varied lighting conditions.

Ogunquit Playhouse will now be offering Health insurance to all employees who are with the company for 120+ consecutive days and work at least 30 hours weekly. Ogunquit Playhouse will cover 75% of employee's company sponsored Health insurance premium. Dental and Vision insurance will also be available at the employee's expense. Employees who work the Ogunquit Playhouse's entire season will also accrue Earned Paid Leave up to 40 hours.

Eligibility is based on the length of the contract. Shortening the length of that contract may affect eligibility.
