Job Description

Auburn School Department seeks a candidate who is excited about joining our supportive school community. The position involves teaching grade 7th and 8th art and forming strong relationships with students while applying middle school best practices.

• Provides opportunities for student involvement in the learning process
• Teaches based on the needs of the whole child
• Organizes materials for student learning
• Provides appropriate feedback on student progress
• Guides student behavior
• Maintains a climate conducive to learning
• Communicates effectively with parents and/or community
• Plans for and engages in professional development
• Complies with policies, operating procedures, and requirements
• Maintains accurate student records
• Works cooperatively with all staff
• Performs such other tasks and assumes such other duties as may be assigned by the administrator

• Valid Department of Education Certification
• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
• Bachelor degree preferred
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
