JMG is looking to fill our opening at Central Maine Community College (CMCC), Auburn ME (Androscoggin County) for our next JMG College Success Specialist and Opportunity Passport Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities &Qualifications:
Relationship Building and Student Mentorship
Build trusting, supportive relationships with students while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Provide individualized coaching and support as students navigate academic, financial, and personal challenges, connect them with campus and community resources, and encourage persistence through graduation.
Opportunity Passport (OP) CoordinationServe a coordinator role for the JMG team for the OP match funding program serving eligible foster care youth. Work collaboratively with JMG OP team, Maine Youth Transitions Collaboration (MYTC), Maine’s DHHS, and other community partners. Support participant referrals, advise, and guide eligible participants.
Collaboration and Community PartnershipBuild and maintain strong partnerships with CMCC staff, state agencies, and community organizations. Monitor student outcomes, maintain program data, and support continuous improvement efforts that enhance student success.
Educational Background:A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Approval:Maine CHRC approval, or the ability to obtain it, is required.
The position will begin August 2026
This position is a full-time, year-round employee of JMG based at the CMCC Campus in Auburn. Flexible schedule in June & July (one day a week on campus requirement these months). This role works in collaboration with the College’s admissions and student support services and the JMG Postsecondary Team.
Compensation and Benefits:- Salary: $43,750 per year, with additional performance-based bonuses.
- Paid Time Off: 3 weeks of vacation time, a week at Christmas, spring break week, plus one floating week. 2 personal days.
