Job DescriptionP&G is the largest consumer packaged goods company in the world, operating in over 75 countries and offering 65 trusted brands that improve lives for 5 billion consumers worldwide. Our Auburn, Maine Plant is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to contribute to the plant’s expansion, maintenance, and step‑change manufacturing capability. This role will break down technical barriers, guide project teams through innovation projects, and bring new capacity to the site.
The ideal candidate is curious, unafraid to challenge the status quo, and a strong team player.
Auburn is about 40 minutes from Portland, Maine, and is a key production node within the Feminine Care business unit. The plant focuses on manufacturing the majority of P&G’s tampon products for worldwide distribution.
This position is onsite Monday through Friday with typical days starting at 7 am.

- Work with state‑of‑the‑art robotics and automated equipment
- Eliminate losses through a continuous improvement cycle
- Become qualified in Lean Manufacturing loss elimination tools
- Conduct reliability analysis, touch mapping, and weekly Hoshin assessments
- Propose and implement solutions that streamline processes, eliminate failures, and reduce manual intervention
- Facilitate the integration of new digital tools and technologies
- Provide training and support on digital solutions for widespread adoption
- Lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of digital systems and processes
- Participate in yearly loss analysis, identify trends, and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define solutions that drive Net Sales and operational excellence
- Work with cross‑functional teams to implement best practices in operations
- Participate in a site pillar network
- BS degree in engineering (any sub‑discipline), operations management, related technical degree, or relevant military experience
- 0–5 years of relevant work experience
- Interest in manufacturing, leadership development, and onsite work
- Willingness to travel on the job on occasion (no more than 10 % of the time)
- Willingness to relocate during career; P&G provides opportunities every 2–5 years
Starting Salary Range: $85,000 – $122,200 annually.
P&G’s compensation includes salary, bonus (if applicable), and benefits. Compensation decisions depend on location, role, degree, skills, and experience.
