The Construction Manager is responsible for performing detailed planning, scheduling, and management of self-perform construction projects on a large chemical or manufacturing plants. They will prepare work packages for direct hire execution and ensure the work is performed in line with safety, cost, schedule, and quality targets, as well as corporate and client expectations. The value of projects will vary based on overall complexity, but in general the position will oversee multiple simultaneous projects ranging from $2,000 to $5,000,000 each.
Qualifications:- 5+ years’ experience in the industrial construction industry
- Previous experience executing and overseeing projects involving piping, sanitary tubing, tanks, conveyors, equipment foundations and setting equipment and systems
- Extensive knowledge of construction and engineering means and methods
- Experience in producing detailed estimates
- Must demonstrate a strong ability to:

- Collaborate and work effectively in a team environment with people of various backgrounds and styles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, to include clear, concise, and professional presentation of information
- Adapt to the constantly evolving world of technology, design, means and methods, systems may include but not limited to:
Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project, Lean Construction Principles, other construction systems - Mentor and train assistant level operations team members
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field highly desired
- Project Management:
Plans, coordinates, and manages all facets necessary to complete projects within budget, on time, and deliver quality work;
Reviews and inputs to design packages for constructability and completeness;
Creates and manages project budgets;
Collaborates with project team effectively and continuously throughout projects;
Manages delivery order execution in accordance with contract requirements and project management procedures;
Attends pre-issuance to determine existing conditions and client needs;
Develops detailed project scope of work to include drawings, renderings, preliminary approximations of types of materials to be used and basic quantity counts;
Reviews the proposal scope of work, specifications, and drawings to ensure they clearly define the project requirements and client expectations;
Prepares a detailed proposal package based on the scope of work and the line item estimate;
Submits to client and attends negotiations to support the proposal as submitted;
Negotiates with the client as necessary;
Establishes logs and track required submittals and requests for information;
Reviews for compliance with the contract documents;
Coordinates project close-out; to include obtaining required documentation, assisting in pre-final inspections and As-Built drawings;
