Job Description

The Shipping/Receiving Technician maintains an organized supply/inventory control system for the use and distribution of supplies and equipment for all departments. Ships and receives a variety of parts and materials from vendors and clients. Performs daily maintenance activities and routine preventative maintenance on facility equipment.

Must live within a commutable distance to Auburn, Maine and have a valid driver’s license.

Compensation is $20–22 per hour (DOE) Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

• Maintains the inventory control system for all departments.
• Assembles and ships test kits for Public Water Systems.
• Receives and distributes incoming supplies to appropriate department.
• Prepares and ships sampling kits to clients or on‑site crews to obtain samples for analysis. Preparation may include: preparing product descriptions, labels, lot numbers, palletization, special instructions. Maintains bottle and cooler inventory.
• Packs in‑house samples for shipment to other laboratories.
• Delivers and/or picks up client samples or bottle orders upon request of project requirements and tracks bottle orders.
• Answers inquiries from Project Managers and clients concerning bottles.

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• A valid state‑issued driver’s license to drive delivery vehicles is required; a clean driving record is required to drive a company vehicle.
• Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Hazardous Shipping certificate. Can be obtained while working.

Please note – Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes; the actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience and skill set, internal peer salary, business sector, and geographic location.
