Job Description
The Shipping/Receiving Technician maintains an organized supply/inventory control system for the use and distribution of supplies and equipment for all departments. Ships and receives a variety of parts and materials from vendors and clients. Performs daily maintenance activities and routine preventative maintenance on facility equipment.
Must live within a commutable distance to Auburn, Maine and have a valid driver’s license.
Compensation is $20–22 per hour (DOE) Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintains the inventory control system for all departments.
- Assembles and ships test kits for Public Water Systems.
- Receives and distributes incoming supplies to appropriate department.
- Prepares and ships sampling kits to clients or on‑site crews to obtain samples for analysis. Preparation may include: preparing product descriptions, labels, lot numbers, palletization, special instructions. Maintains bottle and cooler inventory.
- Packs in‑house samples for shipment to other laboratories.
- Delivers and/or picks up client samples or bottle orders upon request of project requirements and tracks bottle orders.
- Answers inquiries from Project Managers and clients concerning bottles.
- Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures and limitations.

- Work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to learn product names and numbers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
- A valid state‑issued driver’s license to drive delivery vehicles is required; a clean driving record is required to drive a company vehicle.
- Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Hazardous Shipping certificate. Can be obtained while working.
Additional InformationPlease note – Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes; the actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience and skill set, internal peer salary, business sector, and geographic location.
