We are seeking a hands-on Director, Community-Based Services to lead and grow our Auburn, ME market
. This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys being out in the community, developing people, building employer/community partnerships, and being accountable for results.
This is a local leadership role responsible for leading a team and guiding the growth of the Auburn market. As Director, you will:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team
- Actively represent WOU in the Auburn-area business and community
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, community partners and referral sources
- Drive market growth, service delivery, and team performance
- Manage financial performance, including revenue generation and expense control
You will split your time between coaching your team and actively working in the field
.
- Providing ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to your team
- Meeting with local employers and volunteer sites to develop opportunities for our clients
- Building partnerships with community agencies and state funding sources
- Tracking outcomes and ensuring goals are met or exceeded
- Overseeing the fiscal health of the Auburn market
This role is best suited for someone who brings management maturity and accountability
.
- 3–5 years of experience managing and developing a team
- Demonstrated success meeting performance, growth, or revenue-related goals
- Comfort working in the community and building external relationships
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to use technology to manage workflow and outcomes
- Experience in human services, workforce development, or nonprofit leadership
- Experience working with employer partners or community-based programs
- Monday-Friday with no evenings or weekends
