- Operation and set‑up of machining centers and lathes
- Ability to change and maintain tooling
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operation sheets
- Ability to read and understand gauges and other measuring devices
- Basic knowledge of 6S safety and ISO organizational standards
- Ability to accurately perform mathematical computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, also basic knowledge of percentages and decimals as related to manufacturing
- Able to meet specific deadlines
- Interface with all departments and levels of management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1–3 years experience in operation and set‑up of machining centers and lathes
- 1–3 years experience in tooling change‑overs, building up tools and touching off tooling
- Experience in setting up Gear Shapers is highly valued
- 1–3 years experience using gauges such as micrometers and calipers
- Experience with bar code scanning regarding product movement, preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
SKILLS:
- Desired proficiency:
Internet Explorer, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
