Job Title: Community Nutrition Program Manager, Cooking Matters and SNAP Outreach

Grade Level & Anticipated Hiring Range: 08 | $58,000 - $66,800

The salary range for Grade 08 is $58,000 - $75,600. Consistent with GSFB's Salary Administration Policy, most new employees are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the grade range. Starting salaries above the midpoint may be considered in limited circumstances based on directly relevant qualifications and experience.

Designation: Exempt

Location: Hybrid:
Combination of remote, office-based, and community-based work. Regular statewide travel to support program sites, volunteers, and partners.

Schedule: Regular business hours Monday-Friday;
Occasional evening or weekend hours to support classes, trainings, outreach events, or partner activities.

Your Role in Our Mission:

At Good Shepherd Food Bank, we believe everyone deserves reliable access to nutritious food and the resources that support lifelong health and well-being.

As our Community Nutrition Program Manager, you'll lead key nutrition access initiatives that help Maine neighbors stretch their food budgets, purchase fresh local foods, and connect with trusted nutrition resources. You'll oversee Farm Fresh Rewards, one of Maine's nutrition incentive program, support SNAP Outreach efforts, and manage Nutrition for ME, a statewide online resource connecting people to nutrition information and healthy eating tools.

These programs help reduce barriers to healthy food and empower people to make informed choices for themselves and their families.

This role combines program management, community partnerships, outreach, and communications. You'll work closely with retailers, community organizations, volunteers, and internal teams to expand program participation, strengthen relationships, and increase access to healthy food resources across Maine.

In This Position, You Will:

Lead and Grow Nutrition Incentive Programs

  • Coordinate and oversee Farm Fresh Rewards program activities and partner engagement statewide.
  • Ensure program operations are delivered effectively and aligned with organizational priorities and funding requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to expand participation, strengthen partnerships, and improve program outcomes.
  • Use data and feedback to continuously enhance participant and partner experiences.

Strengthen Partnerships and Community Impact

  • Serve as a primary contact for retailers, food pantries, healthcare partners, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships that support equitable access to healthy food and nutrition resources.
  • Collaborate with partners to address barriers, improve participation, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Represent Good Shepherd Food Bank and its nutrition initiatives throughout the state.

Support SNAP Outreach Efforts

  • Coordinate outreach activities that increase awareness of and access to SNAP benefits.
  • Support volunteers, partners, and community members with outreach resources, training, and information.
  • Strengthen partner engagement and collaboration that helps connect eligible Mainers to food assistance programs.

Manage Nutrition for ME

  • Maintain and enhance Nutrition for ME as a trusted online nutrition resource for Maine communities.
  • Coordinate website updates, nutrition resources, and SNAP-related content.
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications to develop engaging digital content and outreachcampaigns.
  • Monitor engagement and use insights to improve reach, accessibility, and effectiveness.

Drive Program Operations and Performance
