Temporary RN - Summer Assignment (Scarborough, Maine)
Duration: 4-6 weeks.
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday: 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM. Friday: 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM.
The Role
Our Scarborough school program is seeking a compassionate and reliable Registered Nurse (RN) for a temporary summer assignment. The RN will support 16 students, ranging in age from 5 to 20 years old, with varying medical and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities- Medication passes throughout the school day
- G‑Tube feedings for 2-3 students once or twice daily
- MAR updates and ensuring standing orders and guardian permissions remain current
- Care coordination with guardians and primary care providers
- Emergency medication administration while 911 is contacted
- Active RN license in Maine
- Experience with pediatric or young adult populations
- Skilled in G‑Tube care and medication administration
- Strong communication and documentation abilities
- Comfortable collaborating with families and medical providers
- Dept. of Education fingerprinting
- school experience preferred
