Environmental Project Management Assistant, Eurofins Drinking Water and Wastewater Northeast, Auburn ME

  • Full-time
  • Compensation: USD 20 - USD 22 per hour

Eurofins Scientific is a network of independent companies that provides analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries to make life and the environment safer, healthier, and more sustainable. The PMA/Client Login Specialist supports the lab in servicing clients to meet the laboratory mission.

Must live within commutable distance to Auburn, Maine and have a background in Environment or the Sciences.

Job

Hours:

Full time, Mon‑Fri 7:30am‑4:00pm with occasional Saturday mornings. Overtime as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Project Management Assistant
  • Project Set Up
  • Schedule courier or field sampler, if needed
  • Confirm non‑Eurofins Environment Testing America subcontract labs are approved and set up as vendors
  • Generate accounting software requisition for subcontract samples
  • Sample Receipt
  • Review log‑in
  • Generate subcontract paperwork
  • Send client sample receipt confirmation
  • Confirm that any client needed information (purchase order, project number, etc.) is recorded in LIMS for invoicing
  • Reporting
  • Create and issue final report by client due date
  • Issue final data package
  • State reporting forms and submission
  • Upload data
  • Compile case narrative
Login Client Support Specialist
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Collect samples from on‑site drop box
  • Unpack shipments and document receipt of sample
  • Organize and record samples
  • Maintenance of the department and lab, including stocking supplies and housekeeping
  • Phone and email correspondence with clients
  • Review analytical reports quickly and accurately
  • Scan and send out reports in a timely manner
  • Assist with customer services
  • Handle interactions with walk‑in clients
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Basic

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree (2‑year client‑relationship/client service experience may substitute for degree)
  • High school Chemistry coursework, basic laboratory experience
  • Environmental laboratory experience
  • 1‑3 years business experience required
  • Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship
  • May need to lift up to 50 lbs of coolers of samples on occasion
Ideal Candidates will have
  • Customer service/client relations experience preferred
  • Bench chemist experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective problem‑solving skills
