Position Summary
Theequipmentoperatorisresponsibleforperformingdutiesrelatedtothepavingoperation,andthesafeandresponsibleoperationofallapplicablemachineryandequipment.
Essential FunctionsThefollowinglistisintendedtobeexemplaryofthephysicaldemandsoftheposition,howeveritisnotexhaustiveofallday-to-day functions.
Theincumbentwillberequiredtoperformanyorallofthefollowinginagivendayorweek:
10-12hours(restbreaksasrequiredbylawwillbeprovided),usehands,handleorfeel,reachwithhandsandarms,talkorhear,walk,climb stairs,ladders,&catwalks,stoop,bend,twist,kneelandcrouch;
Inaccordancewithcompanysafetypolicyandrelevantequipmentmanual(s);
Regionaltravelwithcrewrequiringdependabletransportation,occasionalovernighttravel.
Incumbentmustbeabletotoleratemoderatetoloudnoiselevel(PPEwillbeprovided,includinghearingprotectionasrequired),longhourssitting,standing,walking,andlaboringoutdoorsinvaryingweatherconditions–frequentlyinextremeheatorextremecold.
Physical DemandsThephysicaldemandsdescribedbelowarerepresentativeofthosethatmustbemetbyanemployeetosuccessfullyperformtheessentialfunctionsofthisjob.

Independent ActionPerformsworkindependentlywithinscopeofestablishedguidelinesandpractices.
Consultswithplantsupervisorwhereclarificationorexceptiontoproceduremayberequired.
Toperformthisjobsuccessfully,anindividualmustbeabletoperformeachessentialfunctionsatisfactorily.
Therequirementslistedabovearerepresentativeoftheknowledge,skilland/orabilityrequired.

Highschooldiplomaorequivalent.
3-5yearsofpriorindustryexperiencewithastrongknowledgeofloaderoperation,asphaltplantoperations,mechanicalaptitude,aggregatestockpilemanagement,and“facilityhousekeeping”skills preferred.
Abilitytoworkaspartofateamandabilitytopassaphysicalanddrugscreen.
Musthaveavalid Class Aor Bdriver ’slicense.
Mustpossesssoundjudgmentability,andabilitytoanalyzeMSDSsheets.
